Where do my classroom supplies come from?

A: The teacher before you placed an order for you.  Everything will arrive on a shipment (usually before the end of the previous school year) and the boxes will be delivered to you.  Ask Suzanne for a copy of your order.  You will be asked to check that everything arrived.  If anything is missing you will give all the information to Suzanne and she will follow up.

What if I need something for my class but it isn’t in my order or it won’t arrive in time for school to start?

A: Send an email addressed to “entirestaff@faculty.isd.sn” with your request to see if anyone else has what you need.  This email group will send to everyone on campus.  Otherwise, there are some papeteries around town that sell school supplies and the grocery store, Casino, has some stuff.  You will get reimbursed for up to $100 for things like that.  Reimbursement forms are by Emefa’s desk in the office.  For furniture, be sure to check out the furniture swap.

Are there subject heads in high school? Who decides what and how?

A: We do have 'team leads' for the grades 6-12 vertical teams.  If your question is about curriculum then please check Atlas Rubicon as a first resource.

What about ISD internal communication?

A: Most items are placed on Google Calendar. Please note that there are a number of different calendars (school wide, high school, etc), so it is important to check the correct calendar .  Administrators have editing rights so see your administrator if additions need to be made.   The school wide calendar will hold all of the events that affect the entire school and is accessible through the website.

How does the Upper School schedule work?
It is a rotating schedule of 8 days,  with 4 blocks of 80 minutes meeting per day (there are a total of 8 blocks,  4/4 alternating days).

Roughly how big will my class(es) be?
Generally between 12 and 20 students.
